Job Summary: The associate will clean and inspect optical components. This job requires excellent visual acuity and manual dexterity. The ability to follow work instructions and the ability pay attention to details and keep organized records of the coating Work Orders are keys to success for this position. The cleaning associate will be trained to have a good understanding of the optical handling and cleaning processes. You will: + Clean & inspect optical components for coating and adaptor selection + Handling + Part loading + Unload and post process + Measure optical spectra, prepare samples for environmental testing, and provide required data to QA personnel. + Keep accurate and complete records + Daily coater cleanup and perform/ assist during routine large scale cleanup. + Maintain work area in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices, ISO and HSE protocols. You have: + Good manual dexterity and visual acuity. + The ability to contribute as an individual and as a team member. + Ability to follow procedures + Basic Computer skills + The ability to keep organized records + Basic blueprint reading skills associated with coating specifications and Clear Aperture requirements. + Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents. May involve prolonged periods of magnified inspection (eye strain). + Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp. + The employee is frequently required to use the computer. + May involve the use of oils and solvents. + Subject to some soilage and irritation from cleaning solutions. (Lab Coats provided) + Generally works in a clean environment and works to maintain the environment as such. + Safety Glasses are required and May require area specific safety training + This position works in a manufacturing environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. + The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne paper particles May work at different workstations as production needs require, or shifts from one station to another, during the production process.
