Danfoss in Ames, Iowa is searching for a Solutions Engineering Intern to start in Summer 2025. The intern will support ongoing new system development programs applicable to agricultural and construction vehicles. This intern will also be involved in system design, analysis, implementation, testing, and troubleshooting. Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Agricultural Engineering. Availability to work full-time in the Summer and potentially continue on during the semester full-time or part-time. Demonstrated hands-on mechanical, electrical and/or software aptitude Prior experience with the operation of farming, construction equipment, or automobiles is a plus Experience with hydraulic systems and components Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams including mechanical, software, electronics, and vehicle systems Project management experience Familiarity with DFSS (Design for Six Sigma) tools Excellent problem-solving skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Candidates must be located within 50 miles of the work location.
