Position Summary
Performs engineering and estimating duties for Amazon opportunities as assigned by the Aftermarket Application Engineering Manager. Responsible for engineering, cost estimations, customer relationship management, and code compliance. Profitably manages the system retrofit, upgrade, and aftermarket (parts, service, support, warranty) sales activities for the Amazon account.
Responsibilities Works with Amazon team to define the scope of work required for a system upgrade or enhancement. Designs systems or structures for industrial material handling projectsWorks with clients to specify peripheral equipment such as workstations, carton erectors, case sealers, and other material handling equipmentEvaluates alternative technologiesDevelops vendor and installer RFQ packages; evaluates vendor and installer quotes for accuracy, thoroughness and costingEstimates project costs, including working with other groupsWorks with Proposal Team and/or Sales Team to develop proposal contentSupports Sales, including visiting job sites for customer meetings and surveysCreates plans and drawings, including drawings in AutoCAD 3DWorks with Project Management team to develop estimated project schedules, implementation plans, and review internal resource availabilityEngineers jobs, including ordering equipment, assisting with permit package development, and assisting Purchasing with contracting for installation Develops and implements sales strategies necessary to profitably outsell the competitionLeads the sales process with the Amazon account to profitably meet or exceed sales goalsTravel up to 20% Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Industrial Engineering or related technical field or equivalent experienceMinimum of 4 years of engineering experience Options Apply for this job onlineApplyShareRefer this job to a friendRefer Sorry the Share function is not working properly at this moment.
