Solutions Consultant, Specialist

The Solutions Consultant will drive operational excellence through innovative process redesign and seamless product launches, enhancing efficiency and collaboration, and elevating the crew experience across Vanguard. Partner with the business to advise on technology, education, and process innovation for meeting business goals. Respond to client needs and proposes ideas for enhancements.
Responsibilities:
+ Build productive working relationships with key partners to ensure recommendations and priorities are understood by all impacted parties. Leverage influencing and negotiation skills to champion optimal solutions. Acts as an advocate for change.
+ Assist in the translation of business problems into strategic and cost-effective technology solution alternatives. Leverage broad IT knowledge to research emerging technologies and apply to business problems.
+ Partner with business and IT leaders to align business initiatives, priorities, and schedules based on strategic business and IT plans.
+ Create and manage the capability blueprint for one or more lines of business and its product owners as the business and the industry evolves. Develops deep knowledge of the business area(s) supported and the competitive landscape to provide context for decision-making.
+ Develop a comprehensive understanding of business functions. Combine technical and functional knowledge to produce highly functional solutions to business problems.
+ Participate in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
+ Translate business opportunities into strategic and cost-effective solution alternatives, along with high-level estimates and cost benefit analysis that supports the recommendations.
+ Build productive working relationships with internal clients, team members, senior management, project teams, IT partners and vendors/suppliers to ensure recommendations and priorities are understood by all impacted parties. Leverage influencing and negotiation skills to champion an optimal solution.
What it takes:
+ Minimum of five years related work experience, with at least two years of project management or solutions consulting experience in Automation and/or data analytics
+ Enterprise wide perspective to work with our business partners in understanding consumer needs, ultimately designing a product that resonates in our corporate systems offers across Vanguard.
+ Proven ability to adapt quickly, learn new things (business areas and tools), evaluate issues, identify and validate problems areas, negotiate scope changes.
+ Strategically advise internal business partners on how technology, education and process innovation can help meet their business goals – helping them figure out which products should be adopted and/or enhanced to drive their strategy forward
+ Defines complex problems authoritatively, using research (market, competitive, and consultant), Design Thinking, Lean techniques, and other techniques as necessary
+ Act as an advocate for change for IT and the Business to introduce new technologies and processes to shape the business strategy
+ Exceptional conceptual, analysis, and problem solving skills.
+ Strong planning, organizational and negotiation skills.
+ Ability to navigate ambiguity, learn new tools and technologies.
+ Demonstrable experience in using data analytics and automation is highly desired.
+ Demonstrable ability to direct a team and program level initiatives to success.
