Role Overview
We are seeking a Solutions Architect to join our Health & Life Sciences (HLS) practice. In this role, you will be pivotal in driving business growth and implementing robust technical solutions tailored to address business challenges in the healthcare sector. In addition to delivering innovative technical solutions, you will play a key role in thought leadership and business development, particularly with large clients. Your ability to communicate effectively with executive stakeholders and influence business outcomes is crucial to the success of this role.

Key Responsibilities

Engage with potential clients, particularly within HLS, during the pre-sales phase to understand their complex business requirements. Present tailored solutions that demonstrate our capabilities, address their needs, and support business development efforts.

Play a critical role in opening new buying centers and driving large business opportunities stateside. Collaborate closely with the sales and consulting teams to create impactful proposals and presentations that clearly demonstrate both business value and technical strength.

Design practical, scalable, and cost-effective solutions aligned with client project requirements and Fractal's overall IT architecture. Facilitate discussions with business and IT stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Provide technical guidance and leadership throughout the solution development and implementation phases. Collaborate with software developers, system operators, and IT teams to ensure seamless and reliable system integration.

Lead with strong executive presence, effectively communicating technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders. Ability to influence large-scale decision-making and drive collaboration with senior executives is essential.

Continuously evaluate new technologies, products, and methodologies to ensure that Fractal remains at the cutting edge, integrating relevant capabilities into the organization where feasible.

Assist in establishing and promoting architectural and design standards that improve performance, capacity, scalability, and quality of solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in solution architecture or a similar role, with at least 6-7 years in client-facing, consulting, or pre-sales capacities, specifically within the Health & Life Sciences industry.

Proven track record in driving large business opportunities and collaborating with senior executives to secure deals and deliver results.

Strong experience with cloud computing (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), backend integrations, and software architecture design.

Excellent executive communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to engage and influence high-level stakeholders.

Ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders to achieve business goals.

Pay:

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.  The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.  At Fractal, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $200,000 - $250,000. In addition, for the current performance period, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.

As a full-time employee of the company or as an hourly employee working more than 30 hours per week, you will be eligible to participate in the health, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability plans in accordance with the plan documents, which may be amended from time to time.  You will be eligible for benefits on the first day of employment with the Company.  In addition, you are eligible to participate in the Company 401(k) Plan after 30 days of employment, in accordance with the applicable plan terms.   The Company provides for 11 paid holidays and 12 weeks of Parental Leave. We also follow a “free time” PTO policy, allowing you the flexibility to take time needed for either sick time or vacation.
