Advises key IT leadership on developing a strategic agenda and helps to prioritize discussions with key IT stakeholders. Conducts impact analysis to understand stakeholder needs and commitments. Develops communications for organizational change and events.

General Overview

The Solutions Architect is responsible for the execution of technical solutions within Graver Tech’s IT strategic framework.  This position works closely with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust and scalable architectures.  The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, have the ability to lead through influence, and be able to identify issues, design solutions, implement changes, and manage projects.

This position is located in Glasgow, DE and supports the execution of business systems impacting our entire organization including New Jersey and upstate New York.  This role engages with numerous departments (Sales, Sourcing, Engineering, Finance,) along with plant team members (Receiving, Assembly, Shipping, Material Handling) to execute solutions that empower stakeholders across the company. 

Overall Responsibilities

Solution Design: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and design innovative technical solutions.Architecture Development: Develop end-to-end architectures that align with business objectives, technical requirements, and industry best practices.ERP Advocacy: Evaluate internal ERP opportunities as a first solution option where possible and steer solutions to leverage internally negotiated system modules.Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and challenges in proposed architectures and develop mitigation.Documentation: Create comprehensive architecture documentation, including diagrams, specifications, and technical design documents.Collaboration: Listen, support, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure deadline-driven successful implementations.Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency, scalability, and performance of our solutions.Implement solutions that comply with IT-related policies and all Marmon IT Standard Practice Instructions (SPIs).Experience with EDR, MDR, and Spam Filtering software (i.e. Abnormal Security)

Qualifications, Skills, Competencies

Bachelor’s Degree in IT-related field.5+ years of experience in IT/development related role.Proven ability to manage multiple, time-sensitive projects and competing priorities.Design and development experience in data and analytic applications such as PowerBI, Tableau or equivalent.Experience with ERP, CRM, and WMS, with Epicor experience preferred.Able to analyze business and IT trends and provide solutions.Results oriented: Uses hard work and drive to accomplish quality outcomes.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical subjects to non-technical partners.Preferred experience in desktop supportPreferred certification in cybersecurity

Working Conditions

Hours of work will generally be during regular business hours but will vary according to special projects, deadlines or other concerns. Some travel to plants located in New Jersey and New York will be required.
