Purpose:
To provide expertise and support to the business unit by applying accounting principles in the preparation of internal and external managerial reports, financial statements and financial counselTo actively contribute to the business's financial, operations and strategic plansAre You Someone Who Can:
Increase operational efficiency and suggest solutions to enhance cost effectiveness and prevent wastage.Report on financial information extracted from the underlying financial system(s) – Oracle, FMS, Chameleon and HFM.Completing BA returns for the SARB and providing commentary on income statement and balance sheet items.Perform month end, quarter end, interim and year end processes.Report on financial trends and monitor financial performance.Monitor and report on accounting discrepancies.Prepare annual budgets and monthly forecasts.Be aware of and adhere to IFRS practices as adopted by the organisation – IFRS 9 knowledge will be advantageous.Develop and manage key stakeholder relationships that enable achievement of operational objectives.Prepare monthly finance HFM FAS pack and respond to queries.Prepare quarterly tax packs, engage in monthly VAT reporting and monthly headcount recons.Prepare financial reports and account reconciliation reports according to specific requirements or policies, on a periodic basis.Maintain financial analysis and reporting activities as required for the business unit.Provide strategic management insights (MIS reporting) and well-articulated commentary to assist business and finance in making decisions for the future.Respond to financial queries by interpreting appropriate financial data.Provide financial and non-financial information to line management by combining costing, finance and business management solutions to drive business and operational performance and controls.Identify and resolve invoicing issues, accounting discrepancies and other financial related issues.Prepare and adjust financial journal entries as required.Assume accountability for account payable and receivable activities.Assess own performance through seeking timely, and clear feedback and request training where appropriate.Performing input into various projects in the team and ecosystem.Adhoc requests from CFO, Head of Finance, and business.Develop and nurture internal relationships within RMB and FirstRand enabling collaboration.You Will Be An Ideal Candidate If You:
have BCom (Honours) and completed articles. CA (SA) will be advantageous.have 2-3 years post-qualification experienceYou Will Have Access To:
