We understand the need to provide a flexible working environment partnered with team collaboration and socialisation. Therefore, we operate a hybrid working model with 3 days of working from home per week. This role is based in the Cape Town office.
Please note that this position will be supporting the US region and therefore, working US hours (2:30pm- 11pm SA time and until 12pm during daylight saving)
Position Overview:
The primary responsibility of the Consultant is to successfully deliver billable projects across a wide range of services for our clients in North America. This includes, most importantly, new implementations, product consultancy, software upgrades, and migrations. The consultant must be able to evaluate a customer's business needs and desired outcomes, and then translate these into effective solutions using our product offerings. This requires a comprehensive understanding of our products, and their applications in various industries. The Project Consultant acts as an expert on the functionality of the Software.
Key Responsibilities
Client Consultation: Collaborate with clients to understand their software requirements and business objectives.
Implementation Support: Assist clients in implementing software solutions, including installation, configuration, data integration and data validation.
Technical knowledge: Provide technical assistance during the system setup including new installations, upgrades, and migration consulting.
Training and Documentation: Conduct training sessions for client teams and create comprehensive documentation as needed.
Time Management: Work with the project manager to manage project timelines, deliverables, and budgets to ensure successful project completion. Additionally, manage multiple customer projects through proactive planning and precise timekeeping.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the project manager on assigned projects from start to successful project sign-off.
Team Responsibilities
Assist Professional Services Manager and Project team members with billable projects.
Assist the Project Manager when called upon.
Assist with project escalations when required and involvement is agreed with Manager.
Other duties as required.
Consultant Knowledge, skills and Experience
This individual is responsible for remotely delivering projects in North America. The Project Consultant serves as the face of the MRI Professional Services Team, and therefore must demonstrate a high level of professionalism and expertise in our products and related technologies. A successful Project Consultant should possess the following qualities:
Clear, articulate communication and good listening skills.
Positive presence and mindset.
Personable with strong relationship building skills and honesty with the client.
Well-organized and detailed oriented
Excellent planning and time tracking skills.
Self-Motivated and able to work independently.
Team Player
Good problem-solving skills
Able to work under pressure and deliver multiple projects ensuring good communication is always maintained with the client.
Strong consultancy skills.
Willing to work in US hours to facilitate meetings and project work for clients in the US.
Technical Support experience (preferred).
Ideally, candidates should have 1 to 2 years of work experience, preferably in a consulting role.
Education
Minimum Bachelor’s degree.
