About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Liferay Solution Architect who is responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive Liferay portal solutions that align with business and technical requirements. As a Solution Architect, you will be responsible for architecting end-to-end solutions that address complex business challenges, aligning technology with strategic objectives, and ensuring successful project delivery. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders, providing technical leadership, and ensuring the performance and security of Liferay applications.

You will be reporting into the Director, Business Systems.
What You Will Do
Design and Develop Solutions: Architect comprehensive Liferay portal solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their objectives, challenges, and requirements. Conduct in-depth analysis to identify opportunities for process optimization and automation using Liferay solutions.
Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams throughout the solution development lifecycle. Mentor developers and engineers on best practices, design patterns, and coding standards for Liferay implementations.
Develop and Maintain: Design, develop, and maintain Liferay-based applications and solutions.
Customization & Configuration: Define system configurations, customizations, and integrations with Liferay portal to meet specific business requirements.
System Integration: Ability to integrate Liferay with other systems and applications.
Quality Assurance: Define and implement quality assurance processes, including testing strategies, test cases, and performance tuning, to ensure the reliability and scalability of the solutions.
Security: Understanding of security best practices in Liferay development.
Performance Optimization: Conduct performance tuning and optimization of Liferay applications.
Issue Resolution: Analyze and resolve technical issues during project implementation.
Documentation and Training: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including solution architectures and blueprint, technical designs, deployment plans, and user manuals. Provide training and support to end users for increased user adoption.
Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest Liferay technologies and best practices.
What You Need
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience in increasing responsibilities within a global, multicultural, multi-location organization.
Proven experience of 8 years as a Solution Architect, with a focus on Liferay development and architecture and Microsoft technologies.
Experience with technologies and integrations such as Java, JavaScript, C#, RESTful APIs, SOAP, .NET Applications, Azure Logic Apps, and Azure Functions.
Knowledge of database management and SQL.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated ability to architect scalable, reliable, and high-performance solutions that meet complex business requirements.
Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies and DevOps practices for continuous integration and delivery.
