A Solution Architect works closely with one of our strategic partners or a category of focused partners to design and create technical solutions for customers. This position will support company’s engineering departments by providing estimates, consultation, and support around assigned partner.
This position will be required to report into the SHI Somerset, NJ office location.

Work with the company’s sales force in determining the appropriate /Storage solution for customersProvide pre-sales technical assessment, storage design and development of a proposal and or bill of materials for a solutionAssist sales with customer facing calls to help gather customer datacenter requirementsGuide customers on server design scenarios; upgrade paths, product road maps, and industry best practicesStay current on datacenter industry technology trends through partner training and provide knowledge transfer to customers and team membersAssist sales reps in creating quotes along with a clear outline of the benefitsDeliver Technical presentations, demos, and assessments for customers and salesObtain & maintain new and existing datacenter certifications; as well as competency trainings as required by SHI management/needs of roleProvides technical knowledge in design, configuration, performance optimization, maintenance, and capacity planning for an environmentBe able to identify and examine market trends and understand client data center and technology needsAbility to process & analyze data to understand the behavior of the buyer/customerDesign Storage solutions and configurations proposals around customer budget and environment restrictionsAnalyze technology or data center needs of the Sales teams and create technical documents providing assessments of customer environment and documentation supporting recommendations on proposed solutionsAlign with Sales Management to work with customers to design product solutions and create deployment plansProvide strategic & tactical guidance to both sales teams and customers on current and proposed technical environments Qualifications 5 years of technology related sales, business development experience with 2 years in Solutions or Systems Engineer RoleBachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related focus OR relevant work experienceProvide subject matter expertise around Data Management solutions, including data protection, ransomware avoidance, AI/ML solutionsProvide jump start services for customers – advisory services for “As a Service solutions” Required Skills Excellent organizational and time management skillsAbility to identify how to solve problems and complete projects with minimal guidanceExceptional communication skills and ability to manage programs across cross-functional stakeholdersProactive, driven, and positive work attitudeAbility to self-study and pass required testsStrong organizational skills, self-starter, and ability to quickly identify and resolve inefficienciesHigh-energy, a positive attitude, and accountability Excellent customers service and support skillsAbility to be comfortable communicating to all levels of leadershipExcellent presentation skills Strong initiative and problem-solving skills High attention to detailAbility to multi-task and work in a high paced environment Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet all deadlinesAbility to work independently as well as in a team environmentAbility to translate business needs into technology specifications and recommendationsAble to work with the sales force in determining the appropriate technical solution for customersAbility to provide pre-sales technical assessmentAble to join sales in customer facing calls to help gather customer technical requirementsConfidently advise customers on the latest product offerings with a good understanding of the supported featuresAbility to guide customers on technical scenarios; upgrade paths, product road maps, and industry best practices and servicesAbility to deliver trainingsPreferred Skills

Course and deadlines are determined by the Partner Unique Requirements Position may require 15% of travel for trainings, conferences, or other activities Additional Information The estimated annual pay range for this position is $80,000 - $150,000 which includes a base salary and bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual.
