Our client is seeking a driven and experienced Solar Sales Manager to lead sales initiatives for Solar PV and Batttery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) in the Commercial & Industrial (C&I) sectors. The role will be based in Tanzania and requires frequent travel to client sites to gather insights, building strong business cases and deliver tailored energy solutions that drive market growth.
Main job function
• Sales Strategy Development: Drive sales growth by developing targeted strategies for off-grid and on-grid C&I markets.
• Client Engagement: Regularly meet clients on-site to understand their energy needs and present customized solar and BESS solutions.
• Business Case & Presentation: Collaborate with technical teams to create compelling business cases and impactful sales presentations.
• Market Expansion: Identify new business opportunities and expand the company’s presence across Tanzania and Zanzibar.
• Data Collection: Work with field teams to collect technical and financial data essential for solution development.
• Brand Representation: Represent the company at industry events, trade fairs, and promotional activities to enhance brand visibility.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
Criteria
• Proven experience in sales management, preferably in the solar energy or renewable energy sector.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for developing business cases.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently to client sites across Tanzania and Zanzibar.
• Self-motivated and results-driven with a customer-centric approach.
