Solar Intern
Role and Scope of Position: Responsible for assisting with the various analytical and administrative processes used to deliver the state\-sponsored Solar MA Renewable Target \(SMART\) incentive program to Eversource’s solar customers\. The SMART program is a solar incentive program designed to promote cost\-effective solar development in the Commonwealth while achieving state renewable energy goals\. Help the SMART team complete the key activities and tasks relating to program and solar customer tracking and workflow management; SMART application, claim, and incentive processing; customer issue resolution; and company and regulatory reporting\. **Essential Functions:** + Assistswith the processing of ourmonthlysolar incentive payments by preparing, analyzing,and reviewing various program and payment data\.Identifiesand resolvesdata discrepancies andrecommendspayment adjustments\. + Reviews,validates, and tracksenergy credit transfer formssubmittedby SMART applicantsand participants\.Assistswith the annual credit cash\-out processas well assolarcapacitybuyout requests\. + Helps prepareregulatory filings that report the status of Eversource’s SMARTprogramandthe amount ofenergy creditsbeingdistributed to Eversource customers\. + Engageswith other Eversource internal teams \(distributed generation, billing, metering, and load settlement\) and external vendors todiagnose datadiscrepancies, processdelays, andcustomer paymentissuesso that they arequickly resolved\. + Provides backup to SMART program team in answering and responding tostakeholderinquiries\. + Managestheprocessing,trackingand sending of payment notification emailsto SMART\-participating customers\. _Technical Knowledge/Skill:_ + Demonstrated interest or experience in renewable and clean energy policy or technology, particularly solar\. + Requiresgoodcommunication, writing, and presentation skills;good organizational skills and attention to detail; and professionalism, commitment, and sound judgement when interacting withteam members andcustomers\. + High levelofproficiencyin Excel and other data applications\. + Commitment to documenting work and sources for ease of use by others; efficient, inquisitive, and skilled researcher; + Motivated self\-starter, must work productively and efficiently both in a team environment and individually under intermittent supervision; + Ability to multi\-task and a willingness to do what it takes to complete tasks efficiently\. _Education:_ + Pursuing a degree indata analytics,engineering, economics, energy or environmental science,statistics,or related discipline or equivalent experience\. **Worker Type:** HRIS \- Contractor **Number of Openings:** 1 **EEO Statement** Eversource Energy is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer\.
