Software Verification Engineer

DESCRIPTION:

This position provides the opportunity to learn and apply the fundamentals of the software verification process as specified within the objectives of the RTCA DO-178C standard. In this position you will learn about the avionics equipment, safety critical SW applications, SW design methodologies and the FAA certification process. The candidate will apply the following skills as part of the software verification process:

Develop Test Procedure from Systems and SW RequirementsPerform tests on a wide range of avionics equipment.Develop and maintain SW Test ApplicationsAnalyze Graphics and I/O PerformancePerform testing on individual units and as part of a System setup.Code/Requirement Differential and Regression AnalysisCode review for coding standard adherenceStructural Coverage AnalysisGenerate Software Problem ReportsTechnical Documentation and Reports

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering preferred     Understanding of the C programming languageInterest in software testing within embedded software environmentFamiliarity with VB/VBA and Assembly languagesFPGA exposure, ideally with XilinxExposure to VivadoFamiliarity with programming of VHDL or VerilogFamiliarity with Software Design MethodologiesThe ability to self-teach additional C language skills
