Software Tester (Telecommunications)

Our client in the Telecommunications industry is looking for a Software Tester.
Key responsibilities
· Identifies the best ways to evaluate the software and then perform a variety of automated and manual tests to figure out if the software serves its purpose and consistently produces desired results
· Extracting and documenting of test requirements for user stories and/or Business requirement specs
· Collaborate with developers and testing team by identifying, logging, prioritizing and verifying defects in a defect tracking system
· Communicate findings to other team members so that decisions can be made regarding changes, improvements and alternatives to try.
· Consolidate reports from software testing team and provide feedback to relevant stakeholders.
Requirements
· Matric
· Formal qualification in computer science of business information systems
· Software experience and knowledge
· Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
· A minimum of 2-years’ experience in a similar role
· 2+ years’ experience in MS Office, especially Excel
