**Description** SAIC is seeking a **Software Test Engineer** in **Huntsville, Alabama** to provide support for the **MALET JSIL Aircrew Trainer (MJAT)** Program. **About the Program:** The **MJAT** Program provides a family of systems which provides plug and play training capability that converts a current tactical MQ-9 Reaper ER ground control station (GCS) into a training simulator. The family of systems also provides brief/debrief capabilities and multi-system connectivity. The trainer provides UAS/RPA operators the ability to conduct simulation training as part of their qualification and follow-on continuation training to maintain proficiency and currency in all required operator tasks. **Duties and Responsibilities:** + Developing and implementing comprehensive system test plans to ensure the software meets its design and behavioral specifications. + Executing test cases (manual or automated) and analyzing results to report any defects or issues. + Working closely with development teams to reproduce and debug issues found during testing. + Validating fixes and ensuring that corrections are effective and do not introduce new issues. + Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure system testing strategies align with business goals and customer needs. + Documenting testing phases and defects to improve future test plans and strategies. + Assessing system performance and behavior under various conditions, including stress, load, and scalability tests. + Providing feedback and recommendations to improve product design, functionality, and usability based on test outcomes. + Facilitating and participating in review meetings to discuss test results with project stakeholders. **Qualifications** **Required Education:** + Bachelor’s degree with two (2) years of experience; four (4) years of experience in lieu of degree. **Required Security Clearance:** + Must possess an active Interim Secret Clearance to start with the ability to maintain a Secret Security Clearance. **Required Certifications:** + CompTIA Security+ required within 90 days of hire date. **Required Skills:** + Proficient with software testing methodologies. + Hands-on experience with working in an Agile software development and testing environment. + Knowledge of Software Test Process and technologies. + Ability to collate data and compile test reports. + Experience in Azure/Devops. + Experience providing clear communications and work well with cross-functional teams. + Excellent software troubleshooting skills. + Ability to design and write software testing procedures. **Desired Skills:** + Experience with integration and testing for a complex simulation system. + Experience in Windows and Linux operating systems. + Experience testing of simulation protocols (DIS, HLA, JREAP-C) and digital audio communications.
