Job Description:
The Software Quality Engineering Associate supports Information Services (I.S.) Quality Assurance (QA) processes with close guidance. He/She assists in identifying problems, generating alternatives, and recommending solutions within defined processes. This position documents the progress of assigned tasks to ensure objectives are met. He/She collaborates effectively with QA team members, application developers, software vendors, consultants, user communities, and test environment technical support staff in the support of the documentation and execution of testing procedures, and follows proper defect management processes. This position supports testing efforts of all complexity levels.
Qualifications:
Experience with Manual Testing, Automated Testing, Programming/Scripting Languages
Knowledge of languages such as Java and/or C#
Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
Familiarity with Agile development processes and participation in Scrum meetings, sprints, and reviews.
Performance and Load Testing: Knowledge of JMeter
API Testing: Knowledge of tools like Postman, SoapUI
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or the equivalent in education and work experience
