Purpose
The Software Quality Automation Engineer is a key member of the Oracle Cloud Delivery Practice. As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for executing, documenting, and automating test cases for the Oracle SaaS suite of applications, including Retail and Financials, among others. You will also collaborate with the boundary application testing leads to execute end-to-end (E2E) test cycles.
Minimum Eligibility Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science or Business Management (relevant experience can be substituted for the required education based on one calendar year of experience for one academic year of education)Develop and execute test plans for Oracle SaaS applications, ensuring functionality, performance, and integration.Awareness of Oracle quarterly patching cadence and release notes.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, business analysts, and product managers to understand requirements and test strategies.Design, document, and execute test cases based on business requirements and functional specifications.Perform functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for Oracle SaaS applications.Identify, log, and track defects using defect management tools and ensure timely resolution.Work closely with development teams to understand the technical aspects of the product and improve the quality of releases.Conduct end-to-end testing to ensure seamless integration between Oracle SaaS and other systems or applications.Participate in test case reviews, quality reviews, and process improvement initiatives.Provide status reports, test summaries, and recommendations to project management and stakeholders.POSITION PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Proficiency with sprint management tools such as Jira Ability to quickly grasp and learn new tools and technologies as needed to complete job tasksConsistently demonstrates a thorough understanding of customer requirements and offer suggestions to improve user experienceEssential Functions
Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.Experience in functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing.Familiarity with Oracle Cloud technologies and platforms.Proficiency with test management tools (e.g., HP ALM, Jira, TestRail).Experience with test automation tools is a plus.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong communication and collaboration abilities.Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.Working Conditions (travel, hours, environment)The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderatePhysical/Sensory Requirements
