Software Engineering Manager - Core Telemetry San Diego,California,United States Software and Services Power and Performance team is looking for a software engineering manager to lead its core telemetry team in San Diego. This team is responsible for building performant systems to orchestrate the collection of telemetry across all Apple products. Enabling engineers to easily donate telemetry to our platform is critical to drive power/performance triage and analytics. You would partner with systems teams and analytics teams to develop a robust platform for seamless telemetry addition and retrieval. You will have the opportunity to work on the latest Apple products and drive the team to build efficient software that would ship to billions of Apple customers. We're looking for an inspiring leader to join and lead this amazing team. **Description** The ideal candidate must be hands-on, technically strong and will be expected to provide technical direction for the team. The responsibilities will include: *Leading a team of high-performing engineers in an innovative and dynamic environment *Driving all aspects of technical development, from gathering requirements to successfully delivering features *Collaborating effectively with multiple teams and building consensus *Mentoring team members to achieve their best potential **Minimum Qualifications** + 5+ years of experience in developing production software (C, C++ or Obj C) + 3+ years of management experience + Proactive and self motivated with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities + Strong technical leadership and ability to inspire team members **Key Qualifications** **Preferred Qualifications** + Excellent spoken and written communication skills + Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally with engineers and managers across technical domains + Strong system level understanding + Strong foundation in software design and architecture **Education & Experience** **Additional Requirements** **Pay & Benefits** + At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,000 and $313,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
