Job Description Summary

Join the rapidly growing team of motivated software engineers designing, developing, and testing embedded software for driveline systems. Lead a team of world class engineers to develop platform and application software used across a diverse portfolio of driveline products. Projects are highly complex and original, requiring strategic direction, cross-disciplinary integration, and ingenuity of approach. The Software Engineering Manager also plays a key role in developing guidelines and procedures for the software development team.

Job Description

Manage a global team of software engineers responsible for developing embedded software in driveline projectsEffectively manage multiple projects while providing customer interface and escalation managementWork with the leadership, software team, and stakeholders to define and refine our vision, strategy, and processBuild a premier software team by hiring, coaching, mentoring, and developing engineers with varying levels of experienceThis is both a technical and management role developing and configure AUTOSAR compliant software with your teamTake a hands-on approach to the entire software development life-cycle:support project management to develop project and resource plans / schedulesperform day-to-day team management to ensure successful, on-time releasesassist the team in accomplishing all tasksdemonstrate ownership and accountability for the entire product delivery processPromote the importance of software quality, including efficiency, scalability, maintainability, reliability, and reusability.Promote a positive and collaborative work environment to motivate and engage the teamReview and manage the resource plan to assure proper staffing levels are maintained on all projectsWork closely with the electronics and hardware departments to ensure design of electronics and hardware can support the software requirementsSupport issue analysis and corrective action definitionsDevelop software in an ASPICE compliant process

Required Skills and Education

Bachelor Degree in Computer/Software/Electrical Engineering or equivalent field10+ years in automotive embedded software development2+ years leading a software development teamAbility to travel up to 10% of the yearExcellent C/C++ programming experience5+ years of experience with AUTOSAR components and configuration tools in the BSWExperience configuring RTA-OS, EcuM, BswM, NvM, MCAL, Com, Can, CanNM, Dem, Dcm, etc.Experience developing Complex Device Drivers for SBCs, Motor Pre-DriversExtensive familiarity developing in an ASPICE environmentExperience in static analysis and unit testingFamiliarity with ISO26262Excellent organizational skillsCapacity to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectivelyDemonstrated ability to lead the design, development, delivery, and support of embedded software systemsAbility to pivot to changing priorities, demands, and project planning in a dynamic work environmentExcellent verbal and written communication in EnglishStrong focus on teamwork and the ability to foster a collaborative culture
