Software Engineering Intern 

The Software Engineering Intern will contribute to the analysis, design, implementation, and testing of integrated software products, producing high-quality code that supports applications managing the end-to-end testing experience—from registration and payments to test construction, delivery, and business reporting. Interns will apply industry best practices while collaborating with a team of high-performing professionals.

You will gain hands-on exposure to software engineering in a remote work environment, developing skills in programming, advanced testing techniques, and agile development. Additionally, you will be paired with a technology mentor to support your growth and contributions. 

Responsibilities: 

Participate in agile team activities, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and reviews.  Develop, test, and debug software components as part of an agile development team.  Identify, document, and resolve defects to ensure software quality.  Collaborate with engineers, quality analysts, and product managers to solve real-world problems.  Gain experience with cloud technologies (Azure), CI/CD pipelines, and version control.  Perform other duties as assigned by managers or leads. 

Qualifications: 

Required Education & Experience: 

Completion of at least sophomore-level coursework (junior level preferred) toward a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or a related field.  Familiarity with at least one programming language (Java and/or C# strongly preferred). 

Desired Skills & Abilities: 

Strong desire to learn and expand knowledge in development languages, applications, and tools.  Intellectual curiosity and the ability to quickly grasp new technologies, processes, and business domains.  Experience with databases (MySQL), APIs, or front-end frameworks (React, Angular) is a plus.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear, professional collaboration. 

Salary offer is $23/hr
