The Software Engineering Intern will have the opportunity to work closely with the DevOps team members to enhance our existing CI/CD process. You will have an opportunity to learn cutting-edge software technology stack used in Cepheid software product and get familiar with the software development life cycle in medical device industry. You can apply your learnings and skills to develop features and new capabilities for Cepheid product software. This position is part of the Software Engineering Organization and will be located in Sunnyvale, CA. At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: + Design, develop and maintain application deployment pipelines and processes, with focus on consistency and quality control + Document an new process created, as well as any integration steps needed when integrating the changes into the CI/CD pipeline. + Adhere to software development and source control processes. The essential requirements of the job include: + Pursing an undergrad or Masters degree in Computer Science, or other STEM majors (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), and previous software development or DevOps related experience + Experience with web application CI/CD integration in Windows or Linux environment + Working knowledge of Gitlab, Gradle, Python, Java, Ant, Windows and Linux Command Shell + Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical problems to non-technical audiences The hourly rate for this role is $30.
