Software Engineer - System Administrator Oracle ORMB

We are seeking a Junior Oracle Resource Management and Billing (ORMB) Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will support the administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Oracle ORMB systems and other .net based systems. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a foundational understanding of ORMB or Oracle systems who is eager to expand their expertise and grow in a dynamic environment.

About the team

Work location: Cincinnati HQ and Hybrid

The team are working within an Agile, SAFe development environment. The team is made up of Developer engineers, QA Assurance Analysts, and a Product owner. You will be collaborating with an agile team to deliver products and change requests of the highest quality whilst proactively identifying improvements and enhancements on the platform.

What you will be doing:

Assist in the configuration, administration, and maintenance of the Oracle ORMB platform and other .net based systems.

Collaborate with senior administrators and technical teams to manage data integration, batch processes, and system performance monitoring.

Support troubleshooting and issue resolution for system errors, performance issues, and data inconsistencies in the ORMB application.

Perform routine system health checks, backups, and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal system performance.

Create and manage user access, security roles, and permissions in the ORMB system.

Assist with system upgrades and patching, ensuring minimal downtime and operational impact.

Prepare and maintain documentation related to system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.

Participate in testing and validating new features, updates, and patches within the ORMB environment.

Provide support to business users by addressing functional and technical queries related to ORMB applications.

Work closely with business teams to understand requirements and implement solutions within the ORMB system.

What you bring:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience working with Oracle applications, specifically Oracle ORMB, or any other Oracle enterprise applications.

Experience with databases (preferably Oracle SQL) and understanding of basic system administration principles.

Experience with Unix/Linux OS.

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Experience with Oracle ORMB functionality, billing, or any other Oracle enterprise applications is a plus.

Experience of Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and basic database queries.

Experience with system administration tasks such as backups, user management, and system configurations.

Work location: Cincinnati HQ and Hybrid role 2 days a week

Added bonus if you have:

    •        Knowledge of billing, revenue management, or related financial systems.

    •        Experience with installing software in Unix and windows servers.

    •        Experience with scripting or automation tools.

    •        Certification/formal training in Oracle ORMB or similar enterprise systems
