About the Role:

As an SRE, you will work with your manager, team members and stakeholders to provide technology vision, enable innovation, and understand critical trends that will create increased business value. You will guide the team by leading technical business initiatives, applying advanced technology knowledge and skills in assessing technical requirements and proactively directing, designing and developing leading edge solutions.

What you'll Do:

Design and implement scalable, highly available and fault tolerant infrastructure on AWS.

Broad knowledge of : networking, serverless architecture (lambda, API gateway, step function), virtualization, encryption, access control, alerting and monitoring.

Creating and managing OpenSearch clusters and indices.

Automating infrastructure and application deployment using tools like Terraform, Scalr and Jenkins.

Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to infrastructure and application.

Scripting in atleast two languages (Python, Go, Javascript, Bash or PowerShell)

Good knowledge of Linux operating systems.

Working with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, CloudBees, Argo / Flux CD.

Collaborating with development teams ensure that applications are designed for scalability, reliability and performance.

What you'll Need:

2 to 4 years of experience and specialized in Kubernetes and AWS Cloud

Experience with automating AWS infrastructure.

Extensive experience with troubleshooting infrastructure and application issues.

Ability to automate repeated tasks via scripts.

Good understanding of monitoring / logging tools like Splunk and Dynatrace.

Understanding of performance, cost and security optimization for infrastructure.

Strong Verbal and Written communication

Must have skills:

Experienced in triaging of production issues using APM tools such as Dynatrace and log aggregation tools such as Splunk, ELK, etc.

Experience with SRE concepts like SLI/SLOs & error budgets

Experience with AWS cloud, specifically services such as EC2, EKS, API GW, Lambda, Route53, SNS, RDS, Elasticcache, OpenSearch, etc. or similar cloud technologies & services

Knowledge of Docker containers and related orchestration technologies

 Experience with CI/CD processes and tools ( Jenkins, Argo, Harness, etc.)

Experience with chaos engineering

 Exposure to automation and scripting skills using Jenkins, python, shell, etc.
