About the team
The RCC team is responsible for maintaining the integrity of code from development for our internal and external customers. This includes our Data Center and Software Sales customers for our various products such as Connex HP and Government Services. The application platforms complete transaction processing within the FIS Enterprise Payments platforms.
The primary responsibilities are completed on Tandem/HP which allows 99.9% availability for our customers online transactions. Your responsibilities will be to maintain our Version Control tool which is used to compile, accelerate, troubleshoot, and analyze the required changes. Within these responsibilities you will also:
Coordinate and perform version builds for deliverables for each release on EFT and Card Management systems to processing environments and software sale clients.
Maintain, enhance, and fix the Version Control tool.
Support the Development environment.
Support user identification and audit requests.
Maintain version control tool documentation.
Be a liaison between our partners, colleagues, and stakeholder.

What you will be doing
As a Software Engineer Senior, you will be responsible for maintaining, developing, fixing, enhancing, and ensuring version changes for each release. This will require a focused effort on automation, issue resolution, disk management, repository movement, and backups across various products.
Your responsibilities require a wide latitude of independent judgment to resolve tasks presented and to provide guidance to others. Your daily engagement will require you to effectively communicates with all levels of technical and non-technical personnel.
This will involve extensive technical expertise to negotiate with other technical teams on complex processes and issues they encounter with preparing solutions planned for production. Your primary focus is to ensure the integrity of the changes in the version control process, system upgrades, stability, and documentation of those standards or guidelines.
Performing database setup for versions in certification and production environments for new and existing clients to achieve timely and accurate implementation.
Performs production database activities to ensure error free maintenance.
Participates in resolution of database problems within appropriate timeframes.
Ensures database procedures are up-to-date and accurate.
Effectively performs database analysis and setup in quality assurance and production environments for new products and product enhancements.
Assists in the development and implementation process for estimating work efforts, establishing target dates and communicating work status for projects.
Assists in the development and implementation process for updating input mechanisms to support new products and enhancements.
Develops, tracks and communicates statistical reporting for department.
Provides status reports to manager in a timely manner.
Participates in special projects as assigned.
What you bring
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Information systems is preferred.
5+ years of IT experience with programming languages.
Knowledge of end-to-end systems development life cycles.
Strong design and programming knowledge.
Excellent customer service skills that build high levels of customer satisfaction for internal and external customers.
Strong understanding of software architecture and programming principles.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization, e.g., executive, management, individual contributors.
Willingly shares relevant technical and/or industry knowledge and expertise to other resources.
Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, team and time management skills.
Requires high degree of human and customer relations skills.
Ability to set priorities and multi-task issue.
General business skills, industry knowledge, financial management and planning skills.
Strong analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills.
Self-starter and works independently.
Experience in banking or financial services industry is an advantage.
Bonus if you have
5+ years of HP/Tandem experience.
5+ years of Connex/Base24 switching experience.
Experience with Version Control.
Proficient with TAL, TACL, SQLCI.
