We are seeking a Software Engineer Intern to join us for a 12 week duration and gain exposure to a variety of processes behind manufacturing in the display industry.** **The position will provide a student experience with the following:** + Implement security changes provided by analyzing testing results + Linux OS optimizations + Implementing software development changes using skills such as Bitbucket/Jenkins/JFrog + Improving SQLite performance + Optimizing GUI performance + Managing event logs in a database by improving SQLite performance + Collaboration with a global team across Taiwan, China, Korea, and US sites **Minimum Requirements** + Student **must be available to start May/June and end their 12 weeks ~Aug/Sept** + Student must be in good academic standing at their university, with a **GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale** + Student must be pursuing **degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and returning to their studies upon completion of internship to graduate in H1 2026.** + Linux operating system knowledge + C/C++/Qt programming experience + Bash and Python scripting experience + Database Optimization knowledge **Preferred Requirements** + Lamp stack (Linux Apache, MySQL, PHP) + Advanced C debugging skills with GDB debugger + Software security or cryptography experience **Qualifications** **Education:** Bachelor's Degree (Required) **Skills:** **Certifications:** **Languages:** **Years of Experience:** Up to 1 Year **Work Experience:** **Additional Information** **Time Type:** Full time **Employee Type:** Intern / Student **Travel:** No **Relocation Eligible:** No Applied Materials is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
