Software Engineer Intern
Peerless Instrument, a business unit of Curtiss-Wright Corporation is seeking a Software Engineering Intern at our Farmingdale location. This location develops circuit cards and associated software for instrumentation and control of sensors used on a variety of platforms. Software Intern positions offer a variety of learning opportunities including basic engineering tasks related to design, analysis, test, and integration.
Location: East Farmingdale, NY.
Hourly pay: $19.00 - $20.00 an hour

Your Challenge
Source code analysis, design, documentation, maintenance, troubleshooting, tool chain selection, test fixture design and process automation.Support one or more experienced engineers in performance of assignments.Shadow actual operations, and have unique assignments that support larger projects, as well as experience the day-to-day workings of engineering. Familiarity with designing complex spreadsheets with Microsoft Excel. Good written and verbal communication skills.Self-motivated and able to work in a team environment.What You Bring
You must be 18 years of age by the start of the summer internship. You must be a US Citizen. Completion of at least one year of undergraduate engineering studies in a software engineering program or similar. Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate software engineering degree program or similar.Peerless Instrument provides state-of-the-art electronic assemblies, systems and software to the US military.
