Software Engineer (m/f/d) - Bensheim, Germany

 

We are looking for an experienced and talented Imaging Performance Software Engineer (m/f/d) to join our team. This individual will work on algorithms measuring the imaging performance of our x-ray devices and statistically evaluate the results.

 

Your Role: 

 

Ensure the imaging performance of our x-ray devices. Statistical evaluation of x-ray data. Develop algorithms and software to measure imaging performance parameters (noise, spatial resolution, contrast, …) in a scrum based team environment. Perform root cause analysis on image quality issues in production and in the field. Support Product Owner in defining epics, writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and documentation. Ensures unit and integration test coverage.

Your Profile: 

 

Education: MS or PhD in computer science, mathematics, physics or related engineering disciplines.

Years and Type of Experience:

Several years experience in at least one of the following areas: Imaging, Image Processing, Computer Vision. Several years experience in processing large amounts of data. Experience in software development and programming. Experience in CI/CD, Containerization (Docker) and Cloud Computing (e.g., GCP, Kubernetes) is an advantage. Experience in the field of medical imaging, in particular CT imaging, and the development of medical devices is an advantage.

Key Skills, Knowledge & Capabilities:

Ability to solve complex technical problems. Work in an agile environment with “hands-on” mentality. Good knowledge in the programming language C++ or similar. Very good knowledge in python, matlab or similar. Very good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken. Knowledge in statistical evaluation is an advantage Self-organized and self-reliant, but willing to learn and share knowledge. Technical enthusiast with broad overview constantly eager to engage in new technologies and challenges. Open-minded, communicative, and strong commitment.
