As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate and Investment Banking Payments Technology division, you will play a pivotal role as an experienced member of an agile team, designing and delivering reliable, industry-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. Your responsibilities include implementing crucial technology solutions across a range of technical areas within various business functions, all in support of the firm's business objectives.

Job responsibilities

Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problemsCreate secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systemsProduce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code developmentDrive the development of SRE best practices and champion stability and resiliency within the estatePartner with peers to define and implement against delivery roadmaps for features that deliver direct value to our usersProactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architectureContribute to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologiesAdd to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and applied experienceAdvanced knowledge of Object oriented programming - Java, Spring and associated back end technologiesStrong knowledge of Relational DB technologies - SQL, Oracle, and working knowledge on noSql databasesStrong knowledge on UI technologies - Typescript, React, Vite, Jest and associated libraries/frameworksKnowledge on MQ, KafkaHands-on practical experience in system design & architecture, application development, testing, and operational stabilityExperience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languagesOverall knowledge of the Software Development Life CycleSolid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and SecurityDemonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
