Position: Software Engineer III

Job Location: 640 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086

Duties: Create and structure data pipelines within the supply chain, thereby facilitating the production of precise business indicators such as demand forecasts. Design and implement automation strategies and improvements to enhance pipeline efficiency, sustain minimal operational costs, and comply with stringent downstream service level agreements. Work in partnership with stakeholders to comprehend a variety of feature needs, establish technical details, and suggest pipeline designs and development. Offer support following production to guarantee continuous operation of our business-focused pipelines. Set up the necessary infrastructure for data pipelines, gather and analyze large and complex datasets, distribute crucial metrics and datasets to appropriate stakeholders. Collaborate with data scientists to conceive and put into operation advanced feature engineering pipelines to facilitate sophisticated production-level machine learning models and collectively contribute insights for model precision, thereby assisting in resolving intricate business challenges. Ensure adherence to the highest standards of data integrity, security, and accuracy in production-level pipelines through automated testing, data validity checks, and strict access control policies.

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area; OR Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 2 years of experience in software engineering or related area.

Skills required: Experience designing, executing, and maintaining data processing pipelines using Java and Python. Experience in applying diverse optimization algorithms to achieve the most optimal time complexity. Experience formulating complex and efficient queries on datasets. Experience utilizing Cloud services including storage, query, and compute units. Experience applying programming language concepts including object oriented programming and functional programming to meet coding standards and practices. Experience designing and implementing data cleaning and warehousing techniques on large scale datasets. Experience with IDEs including IntelliJ and VSCode. Experienced with data analysis and interpretation to identify patterns and provide valuable insights and recommendations. Experience with NoSQL and SQL databases including SQL Server and MySQL. Experience utilizing ServiceNow to generate change requests, incidents, and managing AD groups. Employer will accept any amount of graduate coursework, graduate research experience or professional experience with the required skills.

Salary Range: $117,000/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
