Software Engineer III, PL/SQL Developer

As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Technology, Finance Technology team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job responsibilities

Designs, Develop and Implement the solution as per the Regulatory Requirements. Participates in the Requirements Gathering and work with the Cross-Functional Stakeholders to understand the requirements. Writes secure and high-quality code using the syntax of PL/SQL language with limited guidance. Ensures adherence to project timelines and quality standards on the deliverables. Supports and close the Audit findings on the Infrastructures of the Application to comply with organizational policy. Engages in the Technical Upgrade of the Application Hardware / Software Components.   Provides Technical expertise and support the SIT / UAT Testing and Post-Production. Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the seamless delivery of the project. Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related disciplines. 3+ years of experience in Oracle PL/SQL Programing and Unix Shell Scripting. Hands-on Experience in Server / Database migration project. Hands-on Experience in writing complex SQL queries and Performance Tuning. Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability. Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages. Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Prefer to have exposure to Credit Risk / Market Risk / Operational Risk / Regulatory Reporting system. Exposure to Application Upgrade / Migration experience Good to have Python scripting experience.
