As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Employee Platforms, you are part of an agile team that works to enhance, design, and deliver the software components of the firm’s state-of-the-art technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As an emerging member of a software engineering team, you execute software solutions through the design, development, and technical troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical product, application, or system, while gaining the skills and experience needed to grow within your role.
Job responsibilities
Design, analyze, develop, test, debug, and deliver software for incentive compensation reporting. Create incentive statements and reports using Oracle BIP and OTBI tools. Collaborate with development leads, scrum masters, and product owners to identify analytic solutions. Develop new reports and analyses to meet business needs. Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Agile framework for software development and deployment. Collaborate with Configuration, Data Integration, Production Support, and Administration teams. Create efficient and scalable reporting and BIP Data Model designs. Build reports using AWS QuickSight with expertise. Understand, identify, and evaluate various data sources. Meet with data providers to negotiate and contract data transmissions. Integrate data from PeopleSoft and other systems into incentive reports.Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience Accumulate 4+ years of experience with BI reporting tools, Oracle SQL, and PL/SQL, Oracle e-Business Suite Applications Test, tune, and debug queries and reports effectively. Work hands-on with Oracle Reporting and Analytics modules, including BIP and OTBI. Conduct comprehensive analysis and design with RDMS systems like Oracle. Write and understand SQL and PL/SQL constructs proficiently. Utilize AWS QuickSight, Tableau, Business Objects, or similar tools for visualization. Gain exposure to Oracle Database architecture and Data Warehouse models. Design, query, and report from DataMarts. Strong communication skills with demonstrated experience coordinating development cycles and project management.Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, Computer Science, or Engineering. Working proficiency in a selection of software engineering disciplines and demonstrates understanding of overall software skills including business analysis, development, testing, deployment, maintenance and improvement of software.
