DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:
Develop software and design solutions independently to satisfy customer requirements that considers performance and availabilityPartner with engineering product managers and principal software engineers to translate requirements into detailed designsIncrease code quality through code reviews and writing unit, integration and acceptance testsOptimize, refactor, and reuse code to improve performance and maintainability while ensuring maximum efficiency, effectiveness, and return on investmentTune performance and resolve availability issues of product or service and its dependencies in productionDevelop and maintain thorough technical documentation for featuresWrite code using secure programming patterns and by finding, fixing, and enhancing security in existing applicationsEstimate software development effort including identifying dependent teams and developing code to satisfy complex requirementsMaintain knowledge of emerging technologiesMentor and coach other software engineers by participating in design and code reviews and share best practices; proactively seek mentorship from othersAdopt engineering best practices while contributing to the definition of the engineering lifecycle as well as the definition of best practicesOther duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirementsRequired Qualifications:
3+ years of experience developing and implementing commercial software3+ years of experience creating applications and features in an object-oriented environment (ex. C#, .NET, Java)Experience with database objects in relational databases (ex. MS SQL, Oracle) or non-relational databases (ex. MongoDB, Elastic, Cosmos)Experience with HTTP and REST architectureExperience with Javascript frameworks and libraries (React)Experience with unit, integration, and acceptance testingExperience with version control systems (ex. GIT, GitHub, TFS, etc.)Experience with CI/CD continuous integration / continuous deployment practicesBachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IS, MIS, or other technology degree or minimum 4 years of equivalent work experience and high school diploma/GEDPreferred Qualifications:
Experience in system integration projects or global projectsExperience with transportation, logistics, or business systemsProven track record delivering software in an agile environmentExperience building cloud native applications and services (ex. Azure, AWS, GCP)Experience with data streaming and messaging architecture and frameworks (ex. Compensation Range
$75,900.00 - $168,500.00The base pay range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum base pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Your individual base pay within this range is determined by work location, which takes into account geographic cost of labor, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
