As a **Software Engineer II** , we help managers and leaders gain data-driven visibility into how work patterns affect wellbeing, productivity, and business performance, with default safeguards like de-identification, aggregation, and differential privacy to protect individual privacy. We help millions of people work smarter and achieve balance using personalized solutions designed to help teams collaborate more effectively, preserve time for uninterrupted work, and disconnect at the end of the day. Watch our short product video to learn more. We will only achieve our mission of transforming how others work if we live our culture. We start with becoming learners in all things and apply that mindset to learning about our customers, being diverse and inclusive, working together as one, and—ultimately—making a difference in the world. Running a global world class service that is tightly integrated with mission critical productivity apps (Microsoft Teams and Outlook) with millions of active users presents broad and evolving challenges. We’re constantly in need of improving our engineering systems and cloud services to meet the growing demands of a large user base (and a team of engineers) that are rapidly expanding. We have complex multi-tiered applications running off distributed micro-services, handling billions of user interactions every day, generating petabytes of data that require analysis and transformation, spanned across hundreds of thousands of machines. Our customer needs evolve rapidly, our systems are diverse, and our challenges are broad. This allows our engineers to continuously find new areas of interest to go deep and develop new subject matter expertise, while helping us find better ways to innovate on agility, scale and security. We run as a start-up, encouraging team members to share a sense of “founder-ism.” Team members engage directly with customers, iterate rapidly, and focus on solving the needs of employees around the world. Our culture is inclusive, casual, and motivated. Our team celebrates diverse backgrounds, and values passion for serving our customers. Our team has a keen sense of accountability and provides its members with opportunities for learning and career growth. Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond. **Responsibilities** + Develops and maintains CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps, automating build, test, and deployment while integrating AI/ML for predictive diagnostics and intelligent automation. + Applies best practices of CI/CD, infrastructure as code, observability, and debugging to ensure fast and smooth delivery of software products.  + Drives efficiency by developing scripts and/or automation and leveraging telemetry data to identify patterns and trends that drive continuous improvement. + Build tools/bots and leverage AI to improve developer productivity, contribute ideas to continuously improve our systems, and drive actionable code and product quality feedback.  + Responsible for the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and/or performance of supported infrastructure and services. + Resolves issues with services, minimizes customer impact, and documents solutions that inform ongoing improvements and prevent the recurrence of similar issues. + Partners closely with internal customers and engineering teams to conduct root cause analyses, share end-to-end expertise in services, and to mitigate and resolve issues. + Adheres to security and compliance standards and works with security and compliance teams to identify and address relevant issues. **Qualifications** **Required Qualifications:** + Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python + OR equivalent experience. + 2+ years of experience in cloud computing and DevOps. + 2+ years of experience working on large scale cloud applications. + Experience developing code, scripts, systems, and/or tools that support Infrastructure such as Code and Automation. **Other Requirements:** + Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
