We deliver updates to every Windows-based device in the world to protect users and enable them to be productive.  While Security remains our primary focus, we also enable our commercial and enterprise customers by enabling new device support, addressing reliability and upgrade blocking issues. Our work is critical for the Windows family of devices, SurfaceHub, Azure and more.  We are an agile team and ship twice every month, impacting over a billion Windows devices in the ecosystem. You will collaborate with your teammates in IDC, and your partner teams in Ireland and Redmond, Washington, USA.       Our Customer Focused Engineering (CFE) team is looking for highly motivated Software Engineers to help us in this mission. **You will play a key role** **in** **extending and modifying Windows Operating system code** for keeping our customer base secure, improving the reliability of the platform, addressing customer reported issues, building data insights, and developing features to light up new scenarios and devices in the Windows ecosystem (PCs, Phones, Servers, SurfaceHub, Azure and more). Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond. **Responsibilities** + Reproducing, debugging and fixing customer-reported problems. + Fixing externally and internally found security vulnerabilities and all the potential variants. + Crafting high-quality, bug-free fixes with minimum application compatibility risk. + Prioritizing your collection of work and delivering fixes in a timely fashion to meet deadlines. + Collaborating with escalation engineers and other partner teams across Microsoft to debug, develop, test and ship updates. + Finding ways to improve products, tools, and processes for long-term benefit for Microsoft and customers. **Qualifications** **Required Qualifications** + Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science OR related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C#, C++. + OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C#, C++. + OR equivalent experience. + Proven design and problem-solving skills, with an emphasis on quality and engineering excellence. + Ability to understand unfamiliar code bases, and debug server-side, multi-threaded, and highly scalable applications. + Proven communication skills, both verbal and written. + The ability to work well in a diverse, global, team-focused environment. **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience with relevant programming skills in C#, C++ or equivalent. + Experience in working with Operating system level programming and developing device drivers. + Demonstrated results working with a global team. + Experience with agile/scrum methodologies. \#wsdjobs  \#wsdindia  \#ewdindia    \#wsd  \#W+Djobs Microsoft is an equal opportunity employer.
