Software Engineer II

Overview

•\tCreate the ideal digital replacement for cash and paper voucher aid disbursement in areas of relief and continuing development
•\tProvide high quality deliverables within the constraints of budget, scope and time
•\tWe are looking for you, if your answer to following questions is YES
o\tDevelop test automation frameworks, scripts and tests to help solidify the functionality and scalability of our front-end & backend services and applications
•\tTo provide technical guidance to the team on automation and non-functional test aspects.
•\tActively share knowledge and skills with Automation team members as well as other support teams, and grow own knowledge of other technologies in use in the environment

•\tDo you strive to increase test coverage of your application with automation testing?
•\tHave you ever worked on creation of an automation framework using data, hybrid or keyword driven methodology?
•\tHave you ever successfully influenced and driven the test strategy for a given program from a manual approach to a completely automation based approach?



Role
•\tUnderstanding the business & functional Requirements and technical documentation
•\tRaising questions / ambiguities related to requirements
•\tCreating test requirements and test cases
•\tMaintaining traceability matrix
•\tTest data preparation and execution
•\tDefect tracking and monitoring it to closure
•\tEscalating issues / risks to leads and managers
•\tKeeping the test artifacts up-to-date in central repository
•\tMaintaining good relations with project team and peers


All About You

Essential knowledge, skills & attributes
•\tSolid experience in software testing
•\tExperience in automation testing using any of the tool like JBehave, TestNG, SOAP UI, Appium, Selenium, mobile automation tools
•\tKnowledge of scripting language will be added advantage (JavaScript, python)
•\tKnowledge of software testing life cycle [Test planning, Test design and execution, Defect Management, Test Reporting]
•\tHands on experience on Functional, Regression, System, UAT Testing
•\tHands on experience Test Automation and Performance Testing
•\tExcellent defect finding, debugging, root cause analysis capabilities
•\tExcellent communication skill and team handling capabilities
•\tAny experience with TDD and/or BDD will be an added advantage


Additional/Desirable capabilities
•\tExperience of working in Payments application Domain
•\tHands on experience of working with tools like Jenkins, Bamboo, Confluence, JIRA, Rally, Sonar
