U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Software Engineer - ETL in Irving, Texas.

Essential Responsibilities:

The Software Engineer – ETL will extract, transform and load (ETL) data from multiple sources, including cleaning and organizing data and preparing it for storage in data warehouses.  Essential responsibilities include: analyze business and technical requirements to create detailed cases/scripts; use JIRA for managing business requirements, design documents, test plans, test labs and test defects; develop ETL jobs to load data from file to database in the staging area; develop ETL jobs to load data from one database to another; analyze and estimate the effort of stories created in Jira; prepare test data for executing different scenarios; monitor files and execute scheduled jobs from script; validate scheduled jobs in Jenkins and its parameters; load staging data into meta/fact/xref uploader; monitor data integrity across sources; database and permission creation; build consolidation processes for data synchronization; develop dynamic procedures to check mismatch between meta & xref for all sources; rephrasing stored procedure from one server to another server; analyze and fix stored procedures for reported defects; resolve bugs and verify and close bug reports once resolved; add new applications in existing reporting; create new stored procedures to provide data results; data store/retrieve from SQL server; phrasing SQL and Hive queries to validate data and performance; and data modeling to store metadata in SQL server. Position may allow working from home within commuting distance of worksite location. Multiple Positions.

Basic Qualifications:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or Electronics Engineering plus 5 years of IT work experience. 

Required Skills/Experience:
Must possess 3 years of experience with: software analysis, design, development and testing in a data warehouse environment; analyzing business and technical requirements; researching required data; phrasing queries to validate data and performance; developing procedures and scripts for data migration; developing stored procedures; building reporting deliverables; ETL; ETL testing; Ab Initio; Informatica; SQL Server; SSIS; Hive; UI; API; Jira; Jenkins; Linux; Oracle; ServiceNow; Unix; C; C++; SQL; T-SQL; Python; and JSON.  Position may allow working from home within commuting distance of worksite location. Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $163,966.00 - $170,500.00. (#LI-NDI #LI-DNI #LI-DNP #DE-DNP).
