About the Role:
As a Software Engineer (DevOps), you will:
Champion SRE and DevOps Practices: Implement and advocate for best practices in site reliability engineering and DevOps, ensuring non-functional requirements such as high availability, scalability, and observability are integrated into our product development.
Infrastructure and Monitoring Oversight: Develop and maintain comprehensive monitoring systems for infrastructure, micro-services, and platform usage trends. Implement robust alerting mechanisms using cloud-native solutions.
Operational Excellence: Serve as the primary support lead for operational aspects of the platform, covering both pre and post-onboarding activities. Address production issues effectively, oversee troubleshooting efforts, and drive continuous improvements from postmortem learnings.
Continuous Integration and Deployment: Manage and optimize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines, promoting best practices to enhance automation and reliability.
On-Call Expertise: Participate in on-call/shift rotations to manage incident responses and troubleshooting, ensuring swift and effective issue resolution.
Innovation and Security: Stay abreast of emerging trends in cloud technology, particularly around DevOps, service reliability, and security. Maintain rigorous security standards across all operations.
Collaborative Spirit: Work closely with cross-functional teams located in Canada, the US, Mexico, and India, fostering a culture of extreme collaboration and knowledge sharing.
About You:
You are an ideal candidate for the role of Software Engineer (DevOps) if you possess:
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.1 to 2 years of hands-on experience as a DevOps/SRE engineer, specifically within AWS cloud environments.Proficiency in UNIX/Linux-based systems and familiarity with container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.Demonstrated capability in building and managing production-grade cloud-native infrastructure and applications.Practical experience with AWS services, scripting (PowerShell, Bash), and observability tools (e.g., DataDog, ELK).Knowledge of CI/CD systems (Git, Azure DevOps, JFrog Artifactory).Expertise in writing#LI-FP2
