Software Engineer

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Follow Agile methodology to execute standard software solutions through design, development, and technical troubleshooting. Write secure and high-quality code. Develop and design workflows for BPM applications. Develop class structures, application frameworks, and data models. Leverage technical expertise in Software to build integrations and technical capabilities that are innovative and align to modern architecture best practices. Follow continuous integration/continuous deployment practices.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Mathematics, Data Engineering, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, IT Consultant, Systems Engineer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Mathematics, Data Engineering, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, IT Consultant, Systems Engineer, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Software development lifecycle using Agile Methodology; participating in and conducting daily stand ups, product refinement meetings, retrospectives and sprint reviews; leveraging JIRA to write and refine stories using Gherkin format; designing and building workflow process in Pega; Case management and decision engines in Pega; writing Pega unit for unit tests; Using Pega Diagnostic Center (PDC) for monitoring and creating Pega alerts and errors; using Pega Deployment Manager (PDM) to build and deploy code with Pega pipelines; application performance fine tuning in Pega's performance tools including Performance Analyzer (PAL), Database Trace, and Performance Profiler; Oracle and using SQL developer to run backend processes; building API with SOAP and REST and testing them with Postman and SOAP UI; using XML and JSON to store and transmit data objects; managing containerized applications using Kubernetes; using Splunk for monitoring, debugging, and creating reports and alerts; GIT for code commits.
