Role Overview
We are excited to identify talented Software Engineers that will help to drive excellence within our Operational and Transactional Systems engineering teams in Kantar!
The Software Engineer will thrive when presented with new challenges on our applications. As a Software Engineer for Kantar, you will collaborate with other engineers in developing first class .net applications for several of Kantar’s applications.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain .NET applications as part of the Transactional Systems team
Write clean and efficient code using best practices within the industry
Deal with ambiguity in solving a complex problem
Will work closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, and other Development teams members to develop features for our applications.
Support continuous improvement of practices within your development squad
Be a champion for driving agility within your squad
Key Capabilities & Experience
The ideal candidate would be someone who has a genuine passion for designing and implementing elegant software solutions. They would also be intimately familiar with the .Net development ecosystem and be able to make sound decisions when it comes to developing solutions.
Essential experience
3+ years of experience with .NET and C#
Knowledge and experience working with Restful services
Knowledge and experience developing in .NET with front end technologies such as Javascript, jQuery, Angular
Strong understanding of full stack development
Strong ability in writing and maintaining Unit Tests
Strong understanding of developing for performance and scalability
Personal skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to influence others to your opinions
Ability to break down complex problems into logical and manageable constructs
Desire and capability to innovate (within the scope and requirements of stakeholders)
Demonstrable capability to work across teams and deliver on multiple projects at once
Demonstrable willingness to see through a project from inception to completion and provide technical feedback across the project lifecycle
Happy to get hands dirty when problems arise
Ability to plan, schedule and monitor own work in a systematic and analytical manner within a limited time horizon
Educational requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
