Job Title: Software Engineer Job Description As a Software Engineer, you will assist with the design, development, testing, and integration of software to meet system and subsystem functional requirements for both new and existing applications. This role requires a DoD Secret security clearance. Responsibilities + Assist in the design, development, testing, and integration of software. + Analyze, specify, design, develop, code, test, integrate and document software test modules, systems, and subsystems. + Resolve technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation. + Develop and write test procedures. + Integrate hardware and software systems. + Adhere to Information Assurance standards. Essential Skills + Experience with software development. + Knowledge of operating systems like Redhat and CentOS. + Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, C#, and Java. + Experience with Atlassian tools suite including JIRA and Confluence. + Understanding of PROFIBUS and MODBUS communication protocols. + Knowledge of hardware/software integration concepts. + Familiarity with software version control tools like SVN and Git. + Experience with model-based software development using Matlab and Labview. + Understanding of the software development process. + Ability to resolve technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Completed Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical and/or Computer Engineering or a related technical field. + Must have DoD Secret security clearance. + 2+ years of experience in software development. + Active DoD Secret Level Security Clearance or the ability to obtain it. + Up to 25% travel may be required. + Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in computer design, software development, or computer networks. + Proficiency in one or more high-level programming languages like Python, C#, Ada, Ruby, or Perl. + Ability to work well in teams and independently to solve complex technical problems. Work Environment This role involves working in a collaborative environment with a focus on software development and integration. The position may require up to 25% travel. The work involves using various technologies and tools such as Redhat, CentOS, C, C++, C#, Java, Jira, Confluence, Profibus, Modbus, SVN, Git, Matlab, and Labview.
