Software Engineer

Job Summary:

The Red Hat Ecosystems Engineering group is seeking a Software Engineer in our Boston, MA office. In this role, you will work with a diverse team of highly motivated engineers on designing and developing  solutions that integrate Red Hat, open-source, and partner technologies into a cohesive platform. Working with teams to build end user experiences that delight customers should energize you. You will also be working closely with the product management, other engineering groups within Red Hat, and with Red Hat partners and lighthouse customers.

Job Responsibilities:

Collaborate with AI/ML partners  to adjust their AI strategies, address their specific use cases, and drive value through the adoption of the RHOAI 

Contribute to the, design, development, and testing of features and solutions integrations with RHOAI dashboard 

Write unit and integration tests and work with quality engineers to ensure product quality

Utilize a PatternFly library and wireframes from user experience design counterparts to design and execute an ideal UI implementation for end users

Contribute to the AI/ML domain by participating in upstream communities

Collaborate with product management, user experience design, documentation, and other engineering and cross-functional teams to analyze and clarify business requirements

Required Skills:  

2 years of experience

Experience developing applications in React, Typescript, and JavaScript or other frontend languages

Experience with modern CSS frameworks and best practices

Knowledge of testing frameworks such as Cypress or React Testing Library

Experience with runtime and tools like Node.js, npm or similar

Experience with source code management tools such as Git

The following are considered a plus: 

Previous code contributions to or participation in open source projects or code samples on GitHub

Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift or other cloud-native technologies

Knowledge or experience working with AI/ML workflows

Experience implementing feature development, breaking down wireframes into components, and putting together a plan for implementation

Familiarity with containers and container orchestration technologies like Podman, Docker, Kubernetes, or Openshift

Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture

The salary range for this position is $108,760.00 - $173,800.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

Pay Transparency

Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
