Software Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Software Development Engineer to join our IT Development team. This role is essential for supporting production operations, including data updates and task automation with SQL. You will also assist with executing our billing process and work on testing and supporting both legacy and new applications. This position offers opportunities to expand your skill set in C#, React, and cloud-based development in Azure. The ideal candidate is motivated to grow their technical expertise and is excited to work across various technologies to support and improve essential business processes.

Position Responsibilities

Provide daily production support, executing data updates and managing automated programs to ensure smooth business operations.Assist with the execution and monitoring of our billing process, which heavily relies on SQL and desktop applications.Develop and maintain scripts for data management and task automation to drive operational efficiency.Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in collaboration with team members.Support testing efforts for both legacy .NET applications and new .NET projects, with a focus on learning C# and React for future development projects.Contribute to process improvements and operational innovations as we modernize our systems.You will play a key role in modernizing and optimizing essential systems that support our company’s operations.

Required Skills:

1-2 years of hands-on experience in software development, including SQL for data manipulation, analysis, and reporting.Basic experience with .NET and C# for backend or web application development.Interest in expanding skills in C# and React for application development.Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills for both code and data-related issues.Ability to prioritize tasks effectively with guidance and support from both the manager and teammates, ensuring deadlines are met through collaborative effort.Excellent communication skills with a focus on clear documentation and collaborative problem-solving.You will have the opportunity to work closely with senior developers and receive mentorship to help you grow your skills in C#, React, and cloud technologies.

Preferred Skills

Exposure to frontend development with React and a willingness to expand skills in modern web development.Exposure to Azure services or a desire to learn cloud-based application hosting and deployment.Knowledge of automated testing tools like Azure DevOps and CI/CD practices is a plus.Understanding of Agile development methodologies and best practices.

Qualifications

BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field or Equivalent educational backgroundExperience in software development with exposure to relevant technologies such as React.js, C#, Azure and SQL.Knowledge of software development life cycle, design principles, and agile methodologies.
