The Opportunity:
Design, code, test, and evaluation of application programs and functions for our Navy customer.
Design and implement well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices.
Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs and reviewing Software Specifications, Requirements Documents, Design Documents.
Create and maintain test plans, procedures, and other related software documentation.
Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and modifying existing applications and functions as required.
Responsibilities:
Successful candidates will perform software programming, maintenance, analysis, and user support.
Tasking will be in the functional areas of tools development.
Languages will include C/C++, Java, and others.
Operating system usage/familiarity includes Windows and Linux.
Successful candidates will provide expertise and technical support to maintain and advance capabilities of Navy computing systems.
Tasks include, but are not limited to, application software development, virtualization technologies, hardware, middleware, development/integration, troubleshooting, data analysis, maintenance, and R&D.
This work will be for Navy programs (e.g., AEGIS, Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD), etc.), and their supporting systems.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering discipline
Working knowledge of Windows Operating System (OS), Microsoft (MS) Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, Edge/Internet Explorer)
Zero to two years of related experience.
Strong background in developing software.
Ability to communicate effectively and collaboratively in a team environment.
Ability to self-learn, act on your own initiative and work in a dynamic environment.
Candidate must have ability to attain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.

Knowledge of Linux Operating Systems

Experience using IDE interfaces such as Netbeans, Eclipse, VS or VSCode, etc.

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
