This position will report to our Sr Manager, Software Engineering

 

What you’ll do:

Leverage our tech stack to build innovative solutions for the construction industry.Develop and operate our mission critical construction document management services within the construction documents division.  These are some of the most heavily trafficked parts of the Procore SaaS Platform and require attention to software development best practices, operational excellence and the highest standards in quality.Contribute to critical projects, including: Complex data management systems: We’re building a world-class document management system from the ground up. You’ll work through challenges like document intake, document management, large file manipulations, permissions and document revisioning.Scalability: We’re scaling and need engineers who are ready to take on the challenge of working on live, core systems with millions of usersParticipate in designing and building a system that is aligned with Procore’s technical vision of a Service-Oriented ArchitectureBuild, maintain, and develop a wide series of microservices and are looking for engineers adept at discovering new opportunities and driving them to completion.
 

What we're looking for: 

BS degree in Computer Science, related discipline, or equivalent experience3+ years of combined experience as a Software Engineer with an emphasis on building scalable backend web-based services and related infrastructureExperience working within global technical teams and working collaboratively with teamsUnderstanding the tradeoffs between short-term and long-term goals and balancing immediate needs with strategic initiativesExperience in the following technologies, with demonstrated expertise:Service design and scalable deployment in cloud-based software developmentKubernetes, Kafka and related web infrastructure technologiesJava, Ruby on Rails, Typescript, Node.js, golang & ReactExperience with modern web development across the entire spectrum of development, testing, staging, deploying, and monitoringFamiliarity with SRE and SRE automation best practicesExperience documenting and bringing team clarity to complex solutionsExperience in working with software, platforms, and infrastructure at scale (we run thousands of hosts and have millions of users)Familiarity with additional tech stacks, languages, etc. are a plusAnd generally a curious mind that is driven to innovate and solve customer problems
