Software Engineer

We’re looking for a Product Engineer to join the Insights Inventory team — a group focused on building the tools that help users see and understand the systems they manage through Red Hat Insights. If you’re passionate about creating clean, thoughtful user experiences and enjoy solving real-world problems, you will be a great fit.

In this role, you’ll focus primarily on frontend development, working closely with designers and product managers to build intuitive interfaces for our SaaS platform. At the same time, you'll have opportunities to contribute across the stack — especially when it helps deliver a better, more complete solution.

We’re looking for someone who cares about great design, values collaboration, and enjoys being part of an open, inclusive team where engineering is about much more than just code.

✅ What you’ll do here

Collaborate on the design and review of major product features and fixes in a key part of our Red Hat Insights SaaS platformWork closely with our UX designers and product managers to come up with thoughtful solutions that improve the overall user experienceWork on backend to support the frontend features — especially around APIs, data flow, and integration pointsHelp shape how software engineering contributes to the development of next-generation SaaS productsUse agile methodologies to stay flexible and respond quickly to changesTalk to customers and internal users to understand their challenges and improve our product based on real feedback

Be implementing new features and contributing to design decisionsCollaborate with the program team to refine requirements before development startsWork alongside QA engineers, tech writers, and PMs to validate feature quality and documentationDemo your work to other teams across the company
