What you’ll do:


We are looking for a Software Engineer to develop applications on Aruba Gateways and Aruba Cloud Platform. This team not only develops embedded code that runs on Aruba Gateways, but also provides advanced highly scalable cloud based software applications that constitute the management plane and control plane for various Wireless networking functions. Aruba Cloud Platform is an internally developed innovative Cloud Stack which powers Aruba Cloud Applications for Wired/Wireless Network and Service Management.


Requirements

Strong Python, Java or Go programming skills.Strong background in computer science/software engineering concepts including data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, distributed computing and cloud computing paradigms.Demonstrated abilities in designing robust and scalable cloud applications using distributed cache and experience of using Redis, Hazelcast and similar productsExperience working with Product management teamsExperience developing APIs and backend modules.Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and CI/CD environmentWorking knowledge in one RDBMS or NoSQL databaseFamiliarity with at least one flavor of Linux (preferably CentOS/RHEL) Knowledge of Cloud Platform - CoreOS, Kubernetes and Docker containers.Demonstrated abilities to work with QA and Remote Teams.

Desired

Proven abilities to prepare necessary Design Specifications, participate in Design and Code Reviews and work with Customer Support Teams for Customer Escalations.Experience with messaging systems like RabbitMQ and KafkaDay-to-day working knowledge of contemporary source code development tools and techniques (e.g. GIT, Maven, Eclipse)Demonstrated abilities to work with QA and Remote Teams.Experience in working with Agile Methodology.Experience in working with Agile Methodology.

What you need to bring:

Expected industry experience is 4-6 years.Minimum education at BS or MS level in Computer Science or related fields.
