What you'll do As a Senior Engineer on the Development Operations team, you are responsible as part of a team for coordinating and maintaining the infrastructure and systems that support our worldwide development and test teams. These systems are vital to ensure that our products are of quality for our customers and business. You will design and implement solutions to automate and make self-service systems and processes that help developers build and use systems to test the Docusign product. Because the team will be using Windows and Unix systems that are on-prem, in Cloud and hybrid, it will be helpful for you to have experience with server systems at the Virtual Machine and Cloud layers as well as critical batch systems. You will be working with both the Development Support and Test Infrastructure functional teams. This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Senior manager. Responsibility Drive the technical design of improvements to the operation of the development and test infrastructure, making well-formed proposals and designs Drive approved implementations needed while minimizing risk, ensuring the whole team is up to date on them and ensure that the documentation is kept up to date Be a subject matter expert in the design and implementation of the Test systems, collaborating with your colleagues to ensure it is working well and will continue to do so Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the IDC team to ensure minimal impact to our development users and that all implementations have a well-thought-out backout plan Assist all teams with your experience and expertise maintaining and operating the on-prem virtualized plant that runs the dev/test environment that includes Hyper-V, OpenStack, Active Directory, GitHub, Jenkins and Azure Cloud equivalents Raise issues proactively that might impact the Test environment and propose solutions taking their practicality into account Help recruit and train new members of the team Job Designation Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation) Positions at Docusign are assigned a job designation of either In Office, Hybrid or Remote and are specific to the role/job. What you bring Basic BE/BTech degree or equivalent work experience 4-6 years industry experience with some spent mainly in Software Engineering and IT Support Proven ability to work with geographically remote teams on common projects 2-3 years professional experience with complex, scalable, reliable infrastructure Deep Experience with Powershell or other scripting languages Deep Experience with C# or other OO languages especially UI frameworks Experience with both on-prem Windows and Azure Cloud Proven low-level design and coding skills Preferred 1+ years professional experience operating batch processes Experience with Google Cloud (GCP) Infrastructure Experience with Azure Dev Ops pipelines and Jenkins pipelines Experience with Hyper-V Experience with Active Directory Excellent problem-solving skills and high-level design Familiarity with OpenStack technologies Experience with SQL Experience with Artifactory Curiosity and ability to learn new technologies and tool sets Life at Docusign Working here Docusign is committed to building trust and making the world more agreeable for our employees, customers and the communities in which we live and work.
