Your Impact
The Data Core team mission is to empower our Data Scientists and Machine Learning teams with robust data solutions. As a Software Engineer on this team, you'll be instrumental in shaping the secure, scalable, and integrated storage infrastructure. Typical responsibilities include:
* Collaborate with diverse partners (including Product, Data Scientists, ML Engineers, SRE, and Data Infrastructure teams) to enhance our product offerings and deliver exceptional value to our customers through shared data initiatives.
* Own the design and implementation of innovative data solutions that support our strategic goals.
* Manage and optimize our data infrastructure, ensuring compliance with privacy and data protection standards.
* Mentor and guide other engineering team members spread across three countries (US, UK, Canada), fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Your efforts will help us build a resilient and scalable data ecosystem that underpins our innovation efforts. Minimum Qualifications for this Role:
* Masters in Computer Science or related program
* 3+ years Python development experience with a focus on data engineering initiatives
* 3+ years professional experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
* 2+ years of working with data storage and processing technologies such as AWS Elastic MapReduce, Pyspark, and Snowflake
Preferred Skills and Experience:
* AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, and data formats like Apache Iceberg or Delta Lake
* IaC/ infrastructure as code/automation tools like Terraform, Ansible
* Building scalable data solutions, with emphasis on data governance, compliance and data privacy
* Remote and distributed team working environment
