HOW A SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT SENIOR MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

Lead and mentor a team of software developersOversee day-to-day operations, including task assignment, managing backlog of efforts and prioritizing implementation, performance management, and professional developmentManages the design and development of software development for new and existing computer systems Creates basic documentation in work changes, revisions, or problemsWalk customers or training personnel through recommended problem-solving steps in use of the applicationAttends and presents at customer meetingsManage Task Order(s) ensuring all software development tasks are complete meet schedule, and performance requirements  Lead software projects from planning through execution and deploymentCoordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure project milestones are achieved within scope and budgetDevelop and maintain comprehensive software documentation, operational procedures, and policiesOther duties as assigned

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education:Bachelor’s degree (in computer science, engineering or mathematics)Required Experience:Ten (10)  years of related experienceRequired Technical Skills:Experience in Agile and Cloud software development managementSecurity Clearance Level:Must be clearable for a position of Public Trust and standard background investigation checkUS Residency RequirementRequired Skills and Abilities:Solid technical background in software developmentStrong communication skills, both oral and written; demonstrated ability to speak appropriately and to raise issues to teams and senior managementAbility to thrive in situations of complexity and ambiguity while functioning at a high level of productivity in a fast paced and dynamic environmentDemonstrates ability to work independentlyDemonstrated strength in solving complex problemsPreferred Experience, Skills, and/or Certifications:FAA National Airspace System (NAS) experienceTraffic Flow Management (TFM) experienceAgile certification (PMI-ACP or SAFe certification)Location:Hybrid | Falls Church Virginia & Washington DC AreaOffice Location| Falls Church Virginia
