Software Development Manager

Autodesk's Development Enablement organization seeks a hands-on, experienced Software Development Manager to lead a team of intelligent and driven developers responsible for building, maintaining, and supporting Autodesk's next-generation distributed compute system.

Responsibilities

Lead, manage, and mentor the software development teamEstablish software development standards and practicesEngage in technical and architectural discussions and decision-makingAttract, hire, and continuously grow top software development talentBuild and foster a high-performance culturePerform code reviews and technology evaluationsBe responsible for the overall planning, execution, and success of technical projectsCollaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and build toward a cohesive technical strategy

Minimum Qualifications

5+ years of people management experienceHands-on experience with public cloud technologies (AWS)Deep understanding of designing and maintaining large-scale, distributed platformsExperience working with remote teams and other cross-functional stakeholdersRecent hands-on experience within one or more languages – Go/Java/PythonUnderstanding & curiosity about DevOps best practicesGood self-management skills and ability to track and prioritize multiple tasks coming in simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications

Experience building apps on AWS using services such as Step functions, DynamoDB, IAM, EC2, CloudWatch, and LambdaExperience consuming, designing, and implementing REST APIsGood understanding of networking and security conceptsExperience with monitoring and logging tools (Splunk, Dynatrace, NewRelic, ELK)
